BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X7420. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}4/M17.5.28. "SS{S. Smith}" STEERING - PENDULUM LEVER. X. 7430 X. 7420 We send herewith N.sch.2600 shewing the new design of damped pendulum lever with leaf springs. The leaf springs should be arranged with the least amount of set-up load possible, so as to make the movement of the lever in the central position as free as possible. It is intended to remove a good deal of the friction off the front axle when this scheme is tried, and we shall send you instructions in due course. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
