Messrs.Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
D E R B Y.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of S.H.Grylls, Esq.

With further reference to your letter of the 8th inst. which was placed before the writer on his return from holiday, together with Order No.3160 of the 14th instant.

We have taken careful note of your requirements with regard to a Hydrolift jack suitable for a heavier car and are preparing a design immediately.

To comply with your requirements, we shall have to redesign the jack almost entirely and new tools will be necessary. We mention this point as naturally this will considerably increase the cost, in comparison with the Bentley Hydrolift which is made substantially from parts in big production.

We should prefer that you approve the design on paper before we commence building up a special model and immediately we have satisfactory suggestions to offer, we will again communicate with you. You may rest assured, however, that no time is being lost on the job.

Assuring you of our close co-operation,

We are,

Yours faithfully,

For SMITH'S JACKING SYSTEMS LTD.
