Replying to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}4/E.17.3.37., the following
are the interesting features on this car:-

(1) Engine. (a) Main Bearings in A.C.2 material
(b) Big-end " A.C.7
(c) Large oil Pump and Tecalemit Oil Filter.
(d) Improved crankshaft lubrication.

(2) Chromidium Rear Brake Drums. This is the only non-standard feature in the brake system. The object of these drums is to reduce cost. They cannot possibly be responsible for the present functioning of the brakes, which we think must be due to something preventing the front brakes coming on. This is being investigated at Chateauroux.

(3) Rear Axle. (a) Improved lubrication of the pinion bearing.
(b) Larger bolts securing the axle tubes to prevent oil leaks.

(4) Propeller shaft damper with cast iron wheels to reduce cost.

(5) Lubrication of Propeller Shaft Sliding Joint by oil and special baffles to prevent oil leakage.
Such a scheme would be useful on P.III to prevent the effects of un-balance.

(6) Cheaper Isolated Gear Change Mechanism.

(7) Fixed Grille Radiator Shutters. Although we know the angle of the slats will have to be altered before correct cooling, the 10,000 miles' test will prove the mechanical strength of the arrangement.

(8) Gordon Armstrong rear Shock Absorbers.

(9) Aluminised Mild Steel Exhaust System.

(10) Bump Bar with rubber washers to prevent rattling of the lead weights.
