Your description of the apparatus and the modifications is quite clear, and we shall arrange to go ahead with the production of this. X.2918 We think the little epicyclic gear would be a useful little appliance to have by us for other purposes than the present one, for instance, I shall hope to make use of it when investigating Cobtant Breaker Motion of Magnetos, that is to say, I should drive both magnetos from the same motor, one magneto through the 2 to 1 speeding up gear, and the other one through this epicyclic gear. Then the motion of the contact breaker of the quick running magneto could be investigated over its complete period by means of the light of the spark from the other magneto simply by revolving the case of this epicyclic gear by a series of stages.
