DA {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} /THR3/CBC-7-21 contd. centres of the tapping must be accurate. We would like to point out to you that the outer race of the ball bearing at the driving end is clamped therefore any lateral movement of the shaft must be provided for at the commutator end. We have shown on our outline what we believe to be the Lucas standard type of motor terminal, 90° apart. If you propose supplying this type they must be of in the position shown relative to the vertical centre-line of the machine, but if your propose fitting two terminals close to each other we would prefer them on the top of the motor.
