Problem fitting an aluminum packing liner to a Bentley engine head.

We were going to try the lower compression on the Bentley but when we came to fit the aluminum packing liner .065 thick, we found that it did not belong to our type of head, and we could not make it fit as the water passages etc., would not come in.
