when given a long time to warm up.

When we get the a/c engine installed we propose to investigate on the following lines.

(1) The effect of larger dia oil pipes on the oil pressure.
(2) The effect of length of pipe and the pressure in the pipe and cooler.
(3) Varying the quantity of oil in circulation.
(4) * * * water *
(5) On cleaning the oil system to find how quickly the whole oil system becomes re-primed.

We may have to say that a special engine run is to be given after the system has been cleaned to ensure that the system is primed ready for a quick take off when next required.

We shall continue to open up the engine quickly during our ordinary routine work.

Attached curve shows oil and water temps against time run also the effect on the oil pressure when the oil tank is above and below the oil pump level.
