You will recollect that we are setting out a revised Four Door Saloon on Bentley for the next new Expl. Car in which there is to be more room and greater luggage accommodation. Since then Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has mentioned to me the matter of getting some more leg-room for the rear passengers when the front seat is pushed back for a tall driver. The rear cushion is controlled by the battery crossmember. On Ia0.3331. herewith we have penciled a suggestion for moving this crossmember back 1.000ins. by modifying only a few pieces. We believe that we could then move the rear squab back 1.500ins. which would make a very great difference to the leg-room. We will discuss this with you when we come to Derby on Thursday next.
