VALVE SEALING WASHERS (B.V. & WRAITH III).

Further to our memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}2/MH.{M. Huckerby}13.5.39 regarding the making of 4 more sets of special top sealing washers to ECD.1022 with Neuprene rings to suit, Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} has since found that thin alum washers are more satisfactory than Neuprene.

These are used with the original type of top washer Ex.32222 which has a straight sided recess, not conical as ECD.1022 (EW.1925).

In view of the above, will you please instruct that the 4 sets we have requested be made to Ex.32222 with alum washers to suit, details of which are being made.

As our previous memo, these should be fitted to the inlet valves of W.III No.10 and Wraith Ripple No.1 unit.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}
