Los Angeles, California, January 30, 1929. C O P Y RE: Vacuum Booster for Chassis 123-RP Archibald. We have recently received a complaint about the above numbered car starving for gasoline on mountain climbing. We fitted the vacuum booster which you recently supplied to us and found that this device corrected the trouble. With the booster fitted I drove the car 15 miles up a grade, rising from sea-level to a height of 5,500 ft., and intentionally stayed in high gear practically all of the way, without any of the starving symptoms developing. The owner was along on this trip and was very satisfied with the car's performance. Will you kindly supply us with the necessary parts to so equip another car if we find it necessary. I would strongly recommend that this device become a standard fitting on all our cars. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Sheridan | ||
