Agreement with supplier Hoffmans regarding the production and replacement of steering rollers.

We suggested to Hoffmans that all future rollers they supplied to us should be either:- (a) Produced by them from material supplied by us. (b) Produced by us and final grinding done by them. In regard to any rollers that we finished produced from their material, we pointed out that we would accept these provided they passed our test satisfactory. We also suggest they should replace or pay us for the equivalent amount the replacements would cost, any rollers we found it necessary to change. Hoffmans have agreed to our proposals both in regard to producing the rollers, and free replacement of defective rollers, and they are looking into the position of rollers they have in progress. In regard to replacements it will be necessary for someone to keep a record of all the rollers we change, in order that we may pass the information on to Hoffmans on the completion of the job, and they will then send us a credit note covering the cost.
