1071 21st February, 1941. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/SAG.5/RH.{R. Hollingworth} Messrs. Motor Body Panels Ltd., COVENTRY. Attention of Mr. Smith. Dear Sirs, Some time ago, we spoke to you about a new cross member that we designed to replace the 2nd. cross member in B.V. bodies, with the idea of making it simpler to produce and reduce the cost. Unfortunately, we have been unable to test this out in a body, and we shall be obliged if you will go into the matter and let us know the cost of tools for producing these and also what the cost of the cross member would be when made from tools. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED, [Watermark: COCHRANE'S TUB-SIZED BOND BRITISH MADE] | ||
