Additional Electrical Specification for Bentley. Headlamps - Independently controlled from switch attached to steering column. Both to dip - Offside 50 yds ahead into left hand curb. Nearside to dip sharply into left hand curb. Switch control if possible as follows:- Pos.1 Both on. Pos.2 Both on dipped. Pos.3 Right on only dipped. Pos.4 Left on only dipped. Alternatively separate common dipping switch may be in centre of steering column, but above arrangement is preferred. The switch should be plainly marked in large letters as follows:- 2 ON 2 DIP R ON L ON Spot Lamps. A foot switch on left side of clutch controls alternatively spot lamps or headlamps. Both headlamps and spotlamps are first controlled from main dashboard "headlamps" switch. Three single switches in triangular form about 2" apart are to be fitted to dashboard easily accessible from driving position, preferably through steering wheel (top left quarter) or to right of steering wheel. The lower left switch controls the near side spot lamp and the lower right the off side. The top switch enables the spotlamp and headlamps to be switched on together independently of the foot switch. Rear compartment lamps controllable from dashboard. Socket (Standard Westinghouse type) for trickle charger. | ||
