Issues with front dampers, axle control, and the scaling of a damper design for different vehicle weights.

Regarding the difficulty with the front dampers and the axle control I must leave this until I see the best we can make of it. 7" to 8" levers seem to be the minimum. The spring balls could do us no good even if we accept that they make the axle control ineffective unless I understand the suggestion wrongly. The only idea I have is to lower the damper nearer the axle or fit it forward with a longer lever, or alter the anchorage of the road springs back to the front, but I will await what DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/HDY.{William Hardy} and HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RM.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} agree is good.

I am hoping for rapid progress with this work, but I am a little concerned that the big car damper, to be large enough for a 3 ton job, will be very inconveniently large and strong for a 2 ton job which is scaled about .8 linear dimensions everywhere.
