The following recent improvements are for testing in France next winter:-

(1) Correct auto: advance - metal piston.
(2) Hydraulic shock dampers - 80/40 or 100/50 as found best.
(3) Pistons - (unimportant) single bolt pedestal.
(4) Valves that will least cause self ignition.
(5) Aluminium carburetter with bronze ring on air port.
(6) Red light on thermometer for bonnet.
(7) Steering - 2000 lbs. per in. buffer springs, and all ball joints spring loaded.
(8) Light axle - front.
(9) New tyres - semi-balloon.
(10) 2 level, 2 filter, back tank, and white faced gauge.
(11) Standard battery - P. & R.{Sir Henry Royce} or mixed half and half.
(12) Revised oil relief valves.
(13) Duralumin throttle disc.
(14) Cutout stop and latest mechanism.
(15) Switchbox altered to B. & M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} with O.{Mr Oldham} charge etc. / Separate switch to cut out magneto.

This car will do for me until we get lighter Phantom engine and chassis, EAC. 7. or 9., when I shall hope to have a new body, perhaps of a different type.
