| 45450 Wer. c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. BJ. c. BY/HEB.{H. Biraben} 20 HP. SIDE STEERING TUBE. BJ. has definitely agreed to our proposal to prevent as many cars as possible getting into customers' hands, with the old type of side steering tube spring, in his memo BJ6/E.2.12.26. where he simply states:- "I agree to the suggestion contained in your BY7/H.19.11.26." The Works agreed in Sft{Mr Swift}10/EMM. 24.11.26. that the changeover could be brought in at 101 in "J", if material could be obtained. We have got the Order Office moving, and in any case the tubes ordered will be useful for a later series, and changeover work. Will BY/HEB.{H. Biraben} kindly issue definite instructions to the Order Office to replace the existing type side tube & springs with the improved side tube made .093 thick, and having modified springs as shown on F.54584. We are handing Sft{Mr Swift}'s memo with attached blueprints and correspondence to BY/HEB.{H. Biraben} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By [STAMPED] RECEIVED 3 XII 1926 | ||
