RE GORDON ARMSTRONG DAMPERS. We are preparing a scheme for the fitting of Gordon Armstrong Shock Dampers to the rear axle, the damper being placed forward of the axle. As requested we are sending herewith two prints of PL.97. shewing alternative designs for the link for costing purposes. We have heard from the Harris Bush people that the bush is suitable for the job provided we use thier rubber specification No.153. which is a soft rubber. We are also engaged in the design of a rebound strap for use in conjunction with this damper and would like to see a sample of the fabric type as fitted to the Humber Snipe. Could one be obtained for us,please? At the same time we are investigating the design of a strap made of brake cable such as was fitted years ago to the back of the Phantom II.
