Sidgreaves - MD}10/E22.11.34 Referring to the question of performance and Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}35/KW.15.11.34, it is, I think, unfortunate that Sales were given information in Hy{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}6/R22.9.34 that the new carburetter now on production gives between 15 to 20% increase in power, which increases the top speed by 3 m.p.h. and 25% increase in acceleration between 60 and 70 m.p.h. on top gear. The acceleration on 3rd gear is likewise greatly increased above 45 m.p.h. You might like to see where this information came from. All along I personally did not anticipate much - if any - extra performance with the new carburetter but found that Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} was telling people that there would be improved performance and he based it on the information given in the memo. in question.
