To EH. from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} ORIGINAL 17th March, 1919. E2/G17319. RE CARBURETTOR FOR CHASSIS. S. D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} 21 MAR 1919 RECEIVED Referring to your memo concerning the proposed carburettor, of which you sent me a blue print, the point about the design which strikes me perhaps as being rather nice, is the fact that you control by throttling the emulsion instead of throttling the petrol. The former seems as if it could be carried out easily, whereas on the contrary no really satisfactory method seems to have yet been found to make a variable petrol orifice automatically controlled because the quantities are so fine and the horse power available is so small.
