LOWER RATING 20 HP. FRONT SPRINGS.

SERIAL NO'S 2336J. 2337L.

We are sending into the Stores for return to
Messrs. Thomas Firth & Co. Ltd. - Two 20 HP. front springs
which have failed on test. These springs were ordered in
our Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}2/MJ.14.5.30.

We consider that one spring indicates faulty material
because it failed after 23 hours running, whilst the other
ran 44 hours before failure took place.

We should like them to rebuild these two springs
and return them to us as soon as possible.

Attached is copy of a letter which we are sending
to the makers.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}
