For the attention of Mr. C.C. Mason.

Dear Sirs,

I am bringing back to you this Saturday the accelerometer you recently made for us as this has now a large permanent zero error.

I am leaving it at your Caretaker's, and hope you will be able to let us have it back again soon.

The error has not suddenly become what it is now, but increases every time the instrument is used or jolted.

Yours faithfully,

For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
