Re New Chassis Troubles. ----------------------- Below are some examples of troubles experienced with the electrical equipment we have recently had with imported chassis: (1) X.607. X.3770. On 4.EX Lucas cutout went out of commission due to the adjusting screw falling out. This caused discharge of the battery. (2) X.3348.X.3082. On 4.EX the starter motor went out of commission due to two brushes jamming in the brush holder. (3) X.3014. X.3770. On 33 LW the dynamo refused to charge, the fault being that the copper contact piece in the cutout had pitted, preventing good contact. This is said to be very common occurrence. The American outfits use Tungsten or nickel contacts. | ||
