Notes of conference held at West WitteringHenry Royce's home town 21st July 1932.

PRESENT: R.{Sir Henry Royce}
Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}
E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}
Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}

The question of the future "Peregrine" was thoroughly discussed.

Broadly speaking, it was agreed that we should go ahead on the lines of Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}'s memo. attached to Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}2/T15.7.32., the principal and most important exception being that for reasons in connection with Bensport and interchangeablity the stroke of the engine should be 4" instead of 4.125 as on the first sample.

R.{Sir Henry Royce} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} expressed the view that this would not make any noticeable difference.

Gearbox. It was decided that we should use the one already designed but that dynamometer tests should be carried out quickly to make sure it will stand up.

All design work in connection with the new carburetter must be specially pushed on with.

It was agreed to retain servo operated brakes and to retain the brakes as at present.

It was agreed to incorporate front axle control.

Petrol Pump. It was decided that a scheme should be introduced of a small tank or a priming device to enable the petrol supply to be easily operated again if the pump failed.

(We should now go ahead with the manufacture of a total number of 6 experimental cars and I suggest that, in order to keep the costs within reasonable limits, we should include the present car as one of these 6 and the further chassis which I understand is partly in existence.

(I feel that one at least of these further cars should have the 4.125 stroke so that we can have a means of checking up that we do not lose performance by the reduction in stroke to any serious extent and do not make the engine fussy thereby.
