IGNITION OIL RELAY LEATHER PISTON RING.

Tests carried out on 8-EAC-11 unit.
Chrome leather ring of wider section.

Total running above normal relay oil temp. 60°C = 4 1/2 hrs. 3 1/2 hrs. being at an average of 90°C

Leather piston ring O.K. at finish, no sign of buckling.
Wider section decided improvement.
Relay body insulated one side only for 1/4 hr. at 90°C. with no difference to leather ring.
