GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} BY.5/N.29.9.37. Re: Bentley Driving Dog. ------- Referring to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}4/N.15.9.37, we have discussed with the Repair Dept. the question of hammering up of the splines to get over driving rattle, and they are quite emphatic this practice is not carried out by them, although as you state in your memo they were hammered up at the Derby Depot 12.7.37. in any case there is no doubt that the parts in question have been hammered, and the Repair Dept. inform me that supplies of new driving dogs with over-size drivers are available, and a number will be sent to Kingsbury. Actually the Repair Dept. are fitting the over-size driving dogs at the present time, therefore, if you do not get a supply in the near future, we suggest you drop a line to Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} BY.{R.W.
