X5310 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from AJS. c. to R.{Sir Henry Royce} CJ. AJS1/M8.4.26. RE. GEARBOXES. X.5310 X.7310 The transverse sliding of the India change speed lever even when the gearbox is hot always seems a little sluggish. We should be glad if you would try this sliding under conditions which indicate whether the sluggishness referred to is caused by the interlock mechanism or by the plain bearings of the lever shaft, so that we shall know what modifications to make in the new EAC.7. gearbox we are now working on.
