R.R. 493A (50 M) (D.D. 31. 12-6-25) L.H.D. EXPERIMENTAL REPORT: Expl. No. X3465 REF: Hss/LG11.12.25. To B.J. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BALANCING FRONT WHEELS ON SILVER GHOST CARS. Y401 X3465 With reference to the proposed letter to send to owners of Silver Ghost cars. We do not consider the description in the 1st. para - "to develop an uneven vibration of the steering wheel when running at high speeds", is a clear description of the effect caused by out of balance wheels. We think it would be better described as - "to develop a periodic oscillation of the steering wheel when running at certain speeds". We do not want customers to imagine that balancing the wheels will prevent all shocks felt on the steering wheel. The shocks due to the road wheel striking an obstacle will not be affected by balancing the wheels. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
