Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C15/C15.6.33. -4- wheels and our R-R hubs. Can you think of any means of camouflaging these hubs so that they do not look like R-R which are really such a very distinctive characteristic of our cars. (8) Cover the bumper fittings on front dumb irons with adequate shields. Those at present fitted are a bit too short. (9) Protection against flying stones. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} is considering whether to fit stone guards, which are heavy, or a thicker gauge of aluminium. (10) One criticism was that the brake drums look rather small for a fast sports car. We understand from you that they may look small, but they have a long life, even for a sporting type of driver, so long as you can provide easy adjustment fittings which will enable the brakes to be taken up regularly and simply. The following coachwork items Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} will attend to:- A more sloping windscreen. See if we can fit an inside mirror instead of an outside mirror, in order to save wind resistance. Sun vizors of a light but suitable type. The slope of the louvres. The back end of the bonnet and the slope of the front door to be the same - at present they differ. Perhaps you will please let me know if you consider this fairly sets out the discussion we had.
