x.3745. The only alternative to the ferodo interleaves appears to be the binding of the spring with oil absorbatn tape or cord, and an external jacket of leather or some water and oil proof material.

I have also suggested the possibility of a rain and dust-proof cell for the rear spring if of cantilever type.
