X401 BY/G.13.5.30. PHANTOM II - INCLINATION OF PIVOTS (STEERING). Please note that we have been instructed to make the inclination of the pivot 2½° with a limit of plus or minus ¼°. At the same time the "towing in" of the wheel should be specified as .125" measured between the rims of the wheels. This represents a .0625 toe in on each wheel, and is just sufficient to give a bias inward to the wheel direction. It should be noted that the load on the cross steering ball specified on our drawings is intended to be per ball and not the sum of the friction effects on each ball.
