Dear Oy.,

We believe that the Americans are much better at making cast-iron castings than we are. With a view to ascertaining whether this is so or not, we are very anxious to obtain the average weight of a finished Chevrolet cylinder head, and also a drawing of the specified casting thickness, if this can be obtained.

It would also be interesting to know whether they have succeeded in reducing the weight of the head by improved casting technique, or whether in the last few years little or no progress has been made in getting casting weights down.

Kind regards to Mrs. Olley, and best wishes for 1936.

Yours sincerely,
