We shall endeavour to fit low geared Gleason Bevels to the Axle of your chassis. The ratio will be 3.47 to 1 instead of 3.25 to 1 which is our present standard. We are fitting this special ratio in order that we may have the benefit of your experience after practical trial, and they are therefore to be considered as experimental pieces which are not yet standard. We shall be glad to have your opinion on these parts as regards their effect on acceleration, whether they are quiet under all conditions and the effect they have, if any, on fuel consumption. It is also important to notice whether the higher speed of the engine is noticeable or objectionable at different car speeds. Your views on these points will supplement the information obtained from our own tests, and will be of value.
