(2) Place aluminium drum on rig and rotate at same speed (whatever it is) and using same brake torque, measure the steady temperature attained.

(3) Repeat (2), but with millenite helical drum, the steady temperature attained being measured. Call this T°.

Wear Tests.
(4) Measure wear of MR and millenite at 300°C. in standard drum.

(5) Measure wear of S.5805 andmillenite in either standard or helical drum at T°C.

(6) Measure wear of S.5805 and N.M.C. at 170°C. in aluminium drum.

I have another drum now ready, an aluminium drum with "Brimol" austenitic iron liner, and if the above do not take up too much of your time, I should be very pleased if I could send itto you later for wear tests at 170°C. against S.5805.

I have been asked by several people recently for a photomicrograph of the "Millenite" iron of which you approve. Can you possibly let me have your copy so that I can have it photographed ? We seem to have no record of this structure.

I have not as yet received the rivets to replace the 200 made in the wrong material, but I am hoping to get these soon.

Kind regards,

Yours very truly,
