Many thanks for your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/HEW5/AD.23.5.31. We are pleased to note that you agree to our undertaking the repair of switchboxes, especially as this job will become more frequent as cars become older.

We have arranged for our chief electrician, Kemp, to come to Derby on Monday next June 1st. He has been instructed to report to you, and we hope you will give him every facility for acquiring the necessary knowledge on the above subject as quickly as possible. We should like, if possible, for him to return to London on Tuesday evening.
