Many thanks for your letter of the 1st. inst. We quite agree that no useful purpose would be served by your sending us a dynamo from your standard production, but we shall be very interested to receive the special dynamo which you are making up for us with skewed armature slots and with mica in place of fibre insulation. We are asking our Order Office to send you an official order for two such machines including this one, as we shall definitely require to make prolonged test of these on the road. As soon as we receive the first of these we intend to return to you the machine and cut-out with superior finish previously received, which is very bad for magnetic hum, as we do not further require these for testing purposes.
