Dear Sirs,

We have to thank you for your letter of the 11th inst., and much regret to learn that you are not entirely satisfied with the R4 type sparking plugs, which we have been supplying to you.

We notice your remarks with reference to the difficulties experienced, and also your suggestion as to the cause of the trouble and we are despatching to you, per post, two dozen plugs in which the internal insulating surface, upon which you are experiencing "shortage" of the current/earth, is considerably longer.

Of course the longer this surface - so long as pre-ignition is not experienced - the better, and we are therefore sending two different types of plugs (one dozen of each - the one marked 106 having a
