Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/KT. OUR REF. 249.R. 1st March, 1933. 249.R. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Sirs, Attention of Mr. Robotham. We beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 28th ult. on the subject of the small conical gauze filter which is fitted inside the AUTOVAC Petrol Inlet elbow. We have no design which permits the use of a filter with a greater area, but if adequate provision is made for filtering the fuel on entry into the tank, and between the main tank and the AUTOVAC, we do not see any objection to removing the conical filter in the AUTOVAC. We trust the above information is all you require, and shall be glad to furnish any other information on request. Yours faithfully, THE AUTOVAC MFG. CO. LTD. | ||
