steering had too much friction to suit our ideas. It was also noticed that the frame was particularly heavy, i.e. of thick metal.

Another reason for purchasing this car was to see whether we were justified (in so small an engine) in having six cylinders. It was manifestly smooth in running because of this feature, so I feel satisfied that even the small engine of 20 H.P. needs six cylinders for a really nice car.

Many improvements have been added to this car, including a speed indicator mileage recorder. I should think it is worth at least £50 more than when we received it. Mr. Hives could best judge this.
