As per our conversation and confirming our telephone conversation this morning with Mr. Nichols and Mr. Buckland of Messrs. Smiths and the A.T. Speedometer Co. we should be glad if you will despatch today to St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Pancras Station addressed to the A.T. Speedometer Co. to be called for, one Bensport speedometer which we have handed to the Stores. It will be necessary to advise them by wire of the train it is placed on in order that they may meet same at St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Pancras. We are returning this Speedometer for the revs per mile to be altered from 790 to 750. Will you also please place an order with the A.T. Co. for another identical speedometer adjusted to 790 revs per mile in order to replace the one they are altering. This is in order to cope with the two axle ratios which are used with this car.
