Engine, Gearbox, Steering Box and Chassis Lubrication ... Mobiloil "B". Back Axle... ... ... ... Mobiloil "C". Universal Joints. ... ... Mobilgrease No.2. Water Pump Bearings and Gland... Mobilgrease No.6. Elaulic Shock Dampers. ... ... Mobiloil "G". Wheel Hubs.. ... ... ... Our information is somewhat conflicting, and we are uncertain whether a grease is employed. If so we would recommend Mobilgrease No.4. With regard to back axle lubrication, we have suggested Mobiloil "C" in view of the latest information available concerning the behaviour of extreme pressure lubricants. This recommendation is made on the under-standing that Mobiloil "EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}" or a similar type of lubricant will be employed during the period of works test and that such lubricant will be removed before delivery of the car. Alternatively we assume that some special instructions will be given by you to the Bentley owner to have the axle drained and flushed thoroughly before the introduction of Mobiloil "C".
