DH.{D. Henderson - Showroom} FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} [Struck through] Copy to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} [Struck through] Copy to WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} [Struck through] Copy to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ORIGINAL 25HP. CLUTCH FLYWHEEL. E1/M29.11.30. X 5300 We send herewith LeC. 2845. shewing a stiffer clutch cover for clutch LeC. 2831. This is the lighter flywheel of less overhang for the 25HP. You will notice that a circular rib of stiff section has been added on the inside of the cover to balance the supporting effect of the flywheel in carrying the declutching load thrown on the lever fulcrums. Also there is now only a circular hole through the cover for the operating mechanism obtained by moving the lever backwards a little from where it is shewn on LeC. 2831. The lever remains unaltered from the first design, and we should be glad if the Expl. Dept. would measure what deflection is lost in the 3 levers, as it was unknown when this matter was raised on the occasion of their last visit to WW. how much deflection was due to the cover and how much to the levers.
