Dear Sirs, This is to confirm our telephone conversation of Thursday regarding your letter of 9th May. We will introduce into the centre traction portion of the design for your 6.50/16 tyre under-lying pieces to reduce the amount of movement. This will reduce the tendency to irregular wear and will not increase the running noise of the tyre until it is nearly smooth. We will also remove the undercut from the notches in the second circumferential groove. We are not entirely satisfied with the valve which you have been hitherto using with certain disc wheels, but we will not proceed further with this matter until you are certain whether this disc wheel will be used in future. When you have settled this question we would also like you to tell us approximately how many valves of this type would be required. The tyres for test on your autobahn model at Brooklands will be ready on June 14th. We take it you will let us have delivery instructions in due course. We also presume you will require tyre fitting assistance which we will gladly provide.
