RE. ACCIDENT TO 2-GOSHAWK-11.

Confirming conversation with you re. the above.
We cannot say whether the car left the Repair Dept. with the steering in its present condition or has developed the present faults. We have investigated the steering and find that it does not self-centre from either lock - it also tends to pull into the left side of the road, and is generally rather stiff all round. The cross steering tube is bent and the wheel track is approximately half an inch in at the front. The N.S. pivot has a ¼" backward lean, whereas the O.S. has only 1/10".
It is possible that the O.S. front spring has a broken leaf as the axle is thrown back about half an inch.
We also advise you that all the exterior adjustments has been taken up on the foot brake so that the brake drums will have to be removed to correct this.
