X4226 RECEIVED With reference to the recent burnt valve we have had on 7.Goshawk, I think we might try the following modifications with a view to reducing the working temperature of the valves:- (1) Wider seat. (2) Different angle of seat. The present angle is 15° - we might try 30° and 40°. (3) Larger spindle. (4) Good valves at present for trying different material, i.e. real Firths Stainless, R.{Sir Henry Royce} and any other. | ||
