Dear Sirs,

DC-42 CARBURETTER No. 2836 R

We have recently received the above mentioned carburetter for report and rectification, the complaint in connection with the carburetter being -

(a) poor consumption
(b) flat spots on acceleration
(c) erratic carburation.

Upon proceeding to dismantle the carburetter, we find that the slow running arrangements do not conform to the design of the slow running arrangement as provided in the carburetters which we supply to you, in that the slow running jet is fed directly from the float chamber instead of from the main metering jet.

This carburetter is no doubt one on which you are carrying out certain experiments, and that being so we think it advisable not to interfere with the carburetter in any way and are returning it to you in the condition in which we received it.

1.
