RE.1729 " " - " - bottom. RE.1730) Thrust Washer - crankshaft. RE.1731) In the case of the oil grooves in the camshaft bearings which you suggest making uniform depth. We would prefer to retain the depths as called for on the drawing in view of the fact that the front and rear camshaft bearings are the means of supplying the camshaft lubrication from the main bearing. The intermediate bearing is fed from within the camshaft and makes no use of the bearing for its lubrication. The remainder of points discussed with Mr. Johnson have been modified accordingly.
