Dear Sirs,
We beg to thank you for your letter of the 25th ult., which we much regret has not been answered before, but the points which you have raised have been fully appreciated, and were attended to immediately on receipt.
We agree that the taper is unsightly, and difficult to set to zero. We are taking every step to obviate this feature in future gauges, and we can guarantee its complete elimination, with no suggestion at all of its appearance on the dial, if under the new condition of the gauge being required without a bezel, it were possible to allow the rubber tube which protects the fused seal, to project say 1/8" below the present over-all dimension of the body, which has to fit inside the
