Dear Mr. Summers, Y8430 Very many thanks for your letter which I have shewn to a number of the designing staff. The shorter pendulum lever will only take about a day to fit. The actual benefit which you will derive therefrom is a little problematic as your front axle is not the type we are at present fitting, but our test results go to shew at present that the difference as regards lightening the steering and reducing road shocks is very marked. We should do the job in the Experimental Dept. and try and make the best compromise to the whole steering that we can. I think it will be well worth your while to let us do it as soon as we can. I hope I will see you before long when the Alfa Romeo arrives. Yours faithfully, | ||
