COPY. Jack Barclay Limited, George Street, Hanover Sq. London, W.1. 2nd June, 1937. JDB/PWR. Messrs Rolls-Royce Limited, 14-15, Conduit Street, W.1. Dear Sirs, We honestly feel that the latest Smiths equipment on Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars is of very inferior quality compared with the equipment that used to be supplied with the chassis; particularly do we refer to the clocks. Never has the writer found a satisfactory clock on the Bentley, although he has had demonstration cars ever since you built them, and he thinks that now is the time you should give up the idea of incorporating the clocks in the speedometers, as they are too small to be satisfactory. We have recently had a complaint from a customer of ours who has two 25/30 h.p. Rolls-Royce cars that the electric clocks on both cars are constantly stopping and a perfect nuisance. Yours faithfully, JACK BARCLAY LIMITED? (sgd)Jack Barclay. Managing Director. | ||
