X.3485 PN {Mr Northey} 12/DN/19.10.22. S/W. {Sales / Derby Works} Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM PN. {Mr Northey} In a memo from R. {Sir Henry Royce} Ref. R3/M16.10.22, there occurs the following paragraph :- "At the moment the engine will not start on the "switch because the contact maker was set for very long "makes and short breaks and the ignition was timed too "early for good slow running". Will you tell me how the standard parts improved in this respect ? In the 20 H.P. (4.G.ll.) used for Trials purposes in London, the trouble certainly exists. The circuit is also closed however the engine is stopped and however you switch it on. [STAMP: RECEIVED OCT 20 1922] [Signature] PN. {Mr Northey} J.S. | ||
